LumaFes was born in the winding lanes of one of the world's oldest living medinas, where leather has been tanned the same way for over a thousand years. We didn't invent this craft. We fell in love with it — and set out to carry it, quite literally, into the modern world.

There is no assembly line. Each LumaFes backpack is the work of a single “Muallem” — a master craftsman who has spent decades perfecting his art. From the first cut of the hide to the final gold-foil letter of your name, one pair of hands sees your bag through, start to finish.
How your bag is made
The Hide
A single full-grain, vegetable-tanned hide is selected for its character — natural marks and all.
The Cut
Each panel is cut by hand and burnished, the pattern honed over generations.
The Stitch
Saddle-stitched with waxed thread — slow to make, nearly impossible to unravel.
The Name
Your name is pressed by hand in gold foil — the moment a bag becomes yours.
